These terms apply to your use of How Likely Am I? (howlikelyami.com), operated from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. By using the site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Who can use the site

Anyone can take quizzes without an account. Accounts are for people aged 13 and over, and memberships must be bought by an adult. Children using Learn & Play should do so with a parent or guardian's permission.

Not medical advice

The mental health screeners are well-known screening questionnaires, but they are not a diagnosis and not medical advice. Only a qualified health professional can diagnose a condition. If you're worried about your health, please talk to a doctor. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call 911 or your local emergency number, or call or text 988 in Canada or the US.

The other quizzes are for entertainment. Their results are not predictions or professional advice about your life, money, relationships or anything else.

Free access and membership

• Each device or account can take one quiz for free (mental health screeners are always free). In Learn & Play, each device or account can start one free round a day. The first Flag Detective and Map Detective practices are free for everyone, and anyone can name the 20 best-known countries in Globe Explorer.
• A membership unlocks all quizzes, Learn & Play rounds, and every Flag Detective and Map Detective practice. It is a one-time payment and lasts for as long as we operate the site. Prices are shown before you pay.
• Memberships belong to one account. They're personal and can't be transferred or shared.
• We may add, change or remove quizzes and features over time. We'll keep offering members access to the paid content we provide.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. Any taxes shown at checkout are added to the price.

No refunds

All sales are final. Because a membership gives immediate access to digital content, we don't offer refunds, including for partly used memberships, except where applicable law requires one. If you were charged in error (for example, twice), email us and we'll fix it. Deleting your account ends your membership without a refund.

Acceptable use

Please don't:

• try to get around the free limits or payment, or access other people's accounts;
• copy, scrape or republish our quizzes and content in bulk;
• interfere with the site, overload it, or try to break its security;
• use the site for anything unlawful.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

Content and ownership

The site's design, quizzes and learning content belong to us or our licensors. The mental health screeners remain the work of their original authors, credited on each test. You may share links to results and quizzes freely.

Disclaimers and liability

We work hard to keep the site accurate and available, but it's provided "as is", without guarantees that it will always be available or error-free. To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be waived.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes will be handled by the courts of Alberta, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring them locally.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and continuing to use the site means you accept the updated terms.
